Electronic fitter in switchboard construction with Swiss Federal VET Diploma, 3-year apprenticeship

As an electronic fitter, you build, fit and wire up electrical controls and power distribution systems so that, for instance, lights in public buildings can be controlled centrally. Before these systems are delivered to the building site and installed, you and your supervisor inspect them to make sure they are working properly. You learn how to carry out the work assigned to you systematically and mostly independently. You work on larger or more complex tasks in a team.

Most of your work is carried out in the workshop. You attend vocational school weekly. In every year of your apprenticeship, you will also benefit from a branch course at the relevant training centre, where you will learn and build on the practical foundations for your vocation. Upon passing your final apprenticeship examination, you will complete your studies and gain the Swiss Federal VET Diploma.
